Today is the first Truth and Reconciliation Day. We stand in solidarity with First Nations communities, and we honor the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities.
Today we marched from the Vancouver Island University to Cowichan Tribes, Si’em Lelum. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is vital for the reconciliation process.
