The wax template denture is in the metal flask about to be inserted into the Labormat machine to her right. The Labormat, AKA boil-out tank, is a very important piece of equipment in a denture lab. It’s full of boiling water and is used to boil off wax when processing wax into acrylic dentures. This is known as the lost wax technique that metal artists and jewelers use to cast metal. After the wax is removed, Cindy will inject acrylic into the wax void, which cures into a denture in a machine that uses high heat pressure.
